How much is a fishing charter? What are your rates?
We have a few different rates depending on how long and what type of fishing you want to do.
Salmon OR Halibut – Sooke to Victoria:
Half Day – 5 hours Call for rates (up to 4 people)
Full Day – 8 hours Call for rates (up to 4 people)
Evening Bite Special Call for rates(up to 4 people)
Salmon & Halibut – Combo Special:
Full Day – 8 hours Call for rates(up to 4 people)
Port Renfrew – 3 day charter,
Salmon & Halibut: Call for rates (up to 4 people)
Additional hour(s) – $75/hour
Additional people – $10/hour
All rates include:
Bait and tackle, experienced guide, fish cleaned and bagged, fresh baked goods, memorable experiences and tons of fun.

Our charter vessel is built specifically to take on the rugged demands of North Pacific and Alaskan
offshore waters. Commanding the ultimate in offshore performance and optimum handling,
with comfort and style that you deserve on your
fishing adventure. “Mistress” is powered by a
320 hp Volvo Penta Duo Prop and an
9.9 hp high thrust auxiliary trolling engine.
The Vessel cruises comfortably at 30 knots and will get you
safely to the fishing grounds and back, in even the most
inclement of west coast weather.
I want to book, what do I do now
Great news! You won’t regret it. Booking info: $150 CND deposit is required for all charter bookings. Final payment is due on the day of charter. If paying by credit card/paypal, payment is due 7 days prior to the charter date. Deposit refundable with 30 days notice of charter date. Deposit non-refundable and is credited toward a future charter on cancellations with less than 30 days notice of charter date. The Captain reserves the right to cancel the trip due to any uncontrollable circumstances, such as unsafe weather conditions and will fully refund your deposit. Credit Card payable through PayPal or E Money Transfer. Paypal will have 3% Administration fee.

Your guide Justin Wilson, has 20+ years of fishing experience on the Island and is
an avid outdoorsman. We take a great deal of pride in ensuring the highest quality of service is provided. We will customize any charter to suit your needs and provide you with the most excitement possible on your legendary outdoor adventure.
It is a great pleasure to share with you, the wonders that the diverse marine environment of Vancouver Island has to offer.
What kind of gear do you have?
We are equipped with the latest in safety equipment.
The Tailspin Charters Vessel comes with state-of-the-art
marine electronics, which includes JRC 1500 Radar,
Lowrance Sonar/GPS chart plotter, DSC VHF radio
interfaced with emergency distress GPS locator,
cell phone, and handheld backup GPS and VHF.
Fishing gear includes 3 Scotty electric down riggers, 10’6 Fenwick Hmx mooching rods, Trophy, Shimano and Penn reels. Assortment of light weight halibut rods with Penn and Okuma big game reels.
Are you a certified guide?
The vessel and guide is Transport Canada Inspected and Certified annually,
meeting the commercial vessel regulations.
The warm, dry cabin is insulated, has a heater, defroster, dinette table, fridge,
fresh water sink, 100% private stand up washroom with flushing toilet (Head),
stereo system and comfortable sleeping berths for catching a nap.

Is it ok if I bring my kids along?
Absolutely, if you have a look in the photo gallery you will see lots of young fishing enthusiasts enjoying the excitement of reeling in the big catch ! We have life jackets and lots of space for children in your fishing party.
Do you clean and package out catch?
